Arthur Ashe Champions Day

Honoring the legacy of Arthur Ashe and his commitment to diversity and inclusion, Arthur Ashe Champions Day will bring together 250+ Bay Area youth from different backgrounds, age groups and skill levels and
introduce them to the wonderful world of tennis.​

​

The Cuesta Park courts will be in full swing as world class teaching pros and college tennis stars work with participants on beginning fundamentals and advanced techniques through
numerous on-court skills and challenges.

​

There will also be exhibition play from top Bay Area College and University players.

Join in for a day of fun, learning, and camaraderie. This event is:
 

  • Open to boys and girls of all skill levels from ages 6 – 15.

  • FREE, but ALL participants must register.

  • Limited to 1 session by age for each participant. Make sure to register with the correct age group. All levels will be served at both sessions.

  • Parents, non-participating siblings, and family members are encouraged to attend, but they should not register for tickets.

Ages 6 to 10 years - ALL LEVELS

  • 10:30am - 1:00pm:     SESSION 1

  • 12:00pm - 1:00pm:     Exhibition with College Stars; Beat the Pros; Pizza; and legendary Stanford Tennis Coach Dick Gould

​

Ages 11 to 15 years - ALL LEVELS

  • 12:00pm - 2:30pm:     SESSION 2

Tennis champions from Stanford, USF, Santa Clara University, and other Bay Area colleges will play exhibition tennis and "Beat the Pro" with the kids.
